About

Hello, I'm Isaac Berends, a versatile designer who resides in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I wear multiple hats in the design world, with expertise in UI Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Environmental Graphic Design, and Illustration.

Education: I kickstarted my design journey at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD). It was there that I continued my passion for the creative arts. An exciting internship eventually transformed into my very first role as a Graphic Designer and Product Designer.

Expanding My Horizons: My professional journey took a turn as I delved into the world of Environmental Graphic Design. This venture allowed me to diversify my skill set, honing my abilities in various design domains. From 3D modeling to Concept and Technical Illustration, Graphic Design to Production.

Venturing into the Digital Realm: While shaping the landscapes of the physical world, I ventured into the digital realm and mastered the art of UI Design. As a UI Designer, I excel at crafting designs that are not only visually appealing but also empathetic, intuitive, and user-friendly. I thrive on problem-solving and strive to create designs that offer users a delightful, seamless, and visually captivating experience. My approach is deeply rooted in logic and keen attention to detail.

Life Outside: I'm deeply intrigued by art, technology, architecture, and the natural world. I continue my creative skills at home, where I continue to create illustrate, paint, and generally pursue the fine arts. When I'm not immersed in the world of design, you'll find me exploring new horizons through travel, camping, and biking. I also rather enjoy science-based documentaries and film, and I frequently find inspiration in museums. I'm also a culinary enthusiast, whipping up delicious meals, and occasionally indulging in fine dining.
